Aelia began her life in Ishgard, born to an Elezen father and a Hyur mother, her mother dying in childbirth. Around the age of 19, they set out to Gridania with her twin sister. In Gridania she found solace with the Conjurers guild, studying under them for some time before setting out to return home to help take care of her father and continue her research on a phenomenon called Aetheric Mania.

Aelia can be quite shy at times and is very soft-spoken. They rarely make their noble status known to people as they wish to just be treated the way any other would.
