Azalea was born within Werlyt to a father who was completely absent due to his involvement in the keeping their community thriving and safe while her mother had unfortunately passed at a young age due to an illness. Tragedy isn't an unfamiliar friend of Azalea's, shortly after her mother had passed, her father was killed in a hunting accident, leaving the young Raen to fend for herself and figure out what she truly wanted from life. Taking a small backpack full of the necessary supplies to live, Azalea had taken a journey of self discovery and figure out what life had beyond Werlyt. Azalea had kept to herself for the most part until she needed something such as shelter, food or gil for more supplies, she would use her charms and grace to get close to others and try and persuade them to help the poor little orphan. Unfortunately, she wasn't the most rightgeous of individuals and didn't see wrong in her stealing or deceiving to survive, and so she continued down this path as she entered Eorzea,

As she had found her new profound life within Eorzea, she found people who genuinely cared for her and invited her to follow them within their adventures and travel. A family that she had never had up until this point; it's a strange feeling for her to be making permanent connections with others and still breaking the bad habit of being a loner when it comes to people. The petite Raen is a carefree spirit who loves to follow where the wind may blow her, not one to back off of a passionate debate (argument) about her beliefs, teasing her beloved friends and strangers to get a reaction and becoming overly flirty when she sees someone she just has to have. Overall, she is a fun loving Au Ra who is just looking for a good time and memories to make and have for life.
